Our latest Silver Springs backyard suite – one of many projects we have in the area – began as a custom maximum-sized design with 804 square feet of building envelope and 850 s.f. of living space.

During the design phase, the client fully customized the floorplan, switching from a two bedroom layout to a one bedroom with a master ensuite. Our clients selected several upgrades during the design phase, the most notable of which:

  • James Hardie exterior cladding
  • Smartboard exterior cladding
  • Custom woodgrain garage
  • Black, triple-pane windows
  • Double 4-foot by 4-foot skylights
  • Blue stainless steel Samsung appliances
  • Understair storage
  • Painted garage with knock-down ceiling finish
  • Second half-bathroom for guests
  • Luxurious light fixtures

With no rear lane power pole, our client required a direct connection to underground power services by Enmax. We initiated this process during the development permit and received a substantial quote cost for the power connection, which we managed to get reduced significantly for our client through hard work and determination.

While some properties in the area have a rear lane pole, most do not, meaning these lots will have to connect to underground services for power.
