Our Montgomery backyard suite project began as a fully custom design with a guaranteed 600 square feet of living space above and an additional bedroom on ground level. Over the design consultation process, the ground level was extended to 320 square feet in size (a small studio) and was located at the back of the oversized garage, of which is large enough to fit a pick-up truck.

Apart from the extended sizing, other upgrades in this project include:

  • vaulted ceiling
  • oversized glass patio doors x2
  • double patio french-door x1
  • custom MDF shelving at entranceway
  • expanded the balcony to span the entire frontage
  • expanded garage envelope out to 800 square feet

Our client was considering stucco as an exterior upgrade, but vinyl (our standard option) was kept to keep costs down.
