Our Bankview backyard suite project started off as a “Maisley” package with 372 square feet of living space. During the design consultation phase, our client decided on a number of upgrades, including:

  • add 20 square feet of living space
  • add 12 square feet to the garage
  • expand the size of the balcony
  • build a custom pet wash station on ground level
  • double R10 insulated concrete slab (for R20 rating)
  • add windows to allow pets to move freely in and out of structure

The exterior stucco was also an upgrade we provided to our client for a superb exterior finish and look that matches the original home in Bankview, Calgary!

BANKVIEW COMMUNITY

Bankview is an inner city community found in Calgary’s southwest quadrant. Located just a few minutes away from the Beltline, Bankview is home to many multi-family properties but also is host to several single-family dwellings as well.

Bankview also gradually slopes from the west to east, making for some very unique properties and lots in the area. This particular client of ours did not have an alleyway on the back of her house, but rather an existing single-car garage situated on the back end of the lot with front street access via a long driveway.
